Restoration Projects
MSRP is restoring seabird habitat on Santa Barbara Island by planting native plants.
The following pages contain information about the four different areas of restoration that the Montrose Settlements Restoration Program (MSRP) is focusing on in Phase 1. Each page summarizes the individual projects and then provides an update on recent activities. Any accompanying project reports can be found in the Publications section of this website. Each restoration project is in a different stage of development and completion.
MSRP celebrates ten years of restoration planning and implementation.
Phase 1 Restoration
In 2005, the MSRP Trustees released a Phase 1 Restoration Plan explaining which resources were harmed by DDTs and PCBs and how they are being restored. This plan has focused on restoring the following resources:
Phase 2 Restoration
A Phase 2 Restoration Plan (targeted for release in late 2011) will allocate the remaining funding among the resource categories shown above.
